VANGUARD ADA Systems is the creator of the VANGUARD full group of Tactile Walking Surface Indicators; Detectable Warnings (DWS) / “GuideStrip” Tactile Direction Indicator Guide Bars (TWD), and Trapezoid – Tactile Warning Delineator – (TWD), as well as EcoPath lane coatings, SkidGuard Nonskid pedestrian surface coatings and other great products offering a variety of safety and accessible solutions for pedestrian and vehicular surfaces.

With the exception of their easy to apply nonskid EcoPath and SkidGuard products, Vanguard products are installed only by Vanguard trained personnel. They use no screws, no bolts, require no keyways, no grooves, have no edges, therefore, no trip hazards, and can’t be caught by snow plows or shovels.

How is that possible? They’re all made from liquid plastic, manufactured on site and the liquid plastic IS the adhesive. If it comes loose, it will rip up the surface it’s attached to. It’s that strong.

Stronger than any epoxy, and covering every micron of the surface attached, every application sits perfectly flush with the surface so there’s no place for water to intrude. And with no water intrusion, freeze thaw heave is simply impossible.
There’s never a need for edge caulking because there’s no edge to caulk. It can’t rise over time because it becomes one with the surface. The entire surface would have to rise for that to occur.

And all Vanguard products are nonskid, not “slip resistant”. Through and throughout.
